Due to all the trouble we have had recently with some of the members fighting with other members we have decided to strictly enforce our forum rules from this point forward. The rules below, if not followed will result in USER ACCOUNTS being suspended, deleted and possibly banned for good. Follow the rules below and all should be fine. Email me at admin@neoshoforums.com with any problems or questions regarding our rules or enforcement of.

POSTING GUIDELINES & FORUM ETIQUETTE:
In order to make NeoshoForums.Com enjoyable for the majority of our members, we have adopted the following simple posting guidelines.

#1:
Cross posting is not allowed and will result in the deletion of one or both posts. Cross posting is defined as posting the same information in two or more separate forums. We understand that some topics might fit into more than one forum, but please pick the best one and stick with it.

#2:
Spamming is not tolerated and you will lose your posting privileges immediately. Spamming is when you post the same message, personal or business, etc, in more than two forums. You will have the ability to refute the restriction but it is up to you to contact us.

#3:
Vulgar language and offending material is not tolerated and if you violate this rule one time, you will be warned and if you do it a second time, you will be removed from the forums immediately. You will NOT have the ability to refute this.

#4:
Respect is the name of the game. Do not flame, hound, badger, disrespect, or taunt ANYONE on the forums. If we feel a thread is getting out of hand we will close it or delete it. You can and very possibly will be banned if you continue this type of behavior.

#5:
Moderators and Administrators have final word in anything. If you have a problem or a complaint direct it to them, not to the forum. They will then take the appropriate actions.

#6:
You are not allowed to post URL's that lead to an affiliate program or that in any way earn you something. We consider you earning something if your have an affiliate ID, Website, or if you earn money from banner impressions or click-thru's. If you feel that you have a service or product that the members of NeoshoForums.Com can benefit from notify the Administrator. The Administrator will make the final decision and will be the only one to post the URL etc. These posts will be deleted and you will be banned from posting. You will have the ability to refute the restriction but it is up to you to contact us.

#7:
Illegal transactions/sites like warez, selling of personal information (i.e. credit cards, e-mail addresses), pornography, etc are not allowed in the forums and will result in the deletion of the post and the revocation of your posting privileges.

#8:
No Shameless Promotions of other related Sites or Board Wars. There is no problem with occasionally using the name of other sites or even posting a link to a pertinent thread from another site, but repeatedly referring to other related sites is considered "SPAM" and is not allowed. Please have the decency of NOT putting links to them in your signature or have a post telling our members to come over to another related site.

#9:
Anyone found posting excessive links to their URL's, or suspected of "sneaky" advertising will be warned and possibly banned. We consider this a very broad rule and will be only followed out as a last resort for suspected actions. If you have a product or service that you feel can benefit our community, contact us BEFORE you post! We are implementing this rule in order to give our moderators and administrators more control over editing content. If you feel you have been wrongly accused please contact the forum administrator ASAP with the details.

#10:
Most of all....Have fun!

Admin,
I believe you have just turned a major corner in the growth of this forum and I am glad you have the courage to do so. I believe with these rules this will give that long awaited creditability that has been wanted by many. Now maybe there will be discussions and debate. There will still be room for people to express their concerns about various issues but hopefully based on facts. There is nothing wrong with asking questions to try to gain awareness. These can even be probing questions that officials should be able to answer to the people when it concerns their lives. I am looking forward to this new direction and hope many people will join in and make this a good forum for the discussion of those things that affect us all. If the direction goes how I hope then I hope there will be those members and business owners in the community that will financially help the forums continue.

So does that include the website link from your profile? I would guess no but based on the rules (especially in conjunction with #6) that would seem to be verboten.

Also, does that affect the "Area Web Sites" forum. By the letter of the rules, yes. By the definition of the forum, not so much.

We aint gonna inforce them their rules unless someone missuses the priviledge. :D

Seriously though, we don't mind the linkage and whatnot, just as long as it isn't excessive. I was going to run some banner-ads for the CrashPad after the November election, but can't until then because people paid to be advertised on this site and a few others I run.

a member abuses the rules and Admin has got to take action. I for one say thank you Admin. Free Speech is never a cover for abuse.
