Read about the existence of this forum in the JopGlob. Gratifying to see the net being used to 'upset the old applecarts' in the city and county 'governments'.
I've lived here since '91 after 27 years in S. California where I was 7 years in city admin. I could and should 'write books' about my experiences and observations in Lawrence County. The 'us against them' attitude by many in county government and a strange, passive, 'do nothing-you might get criticized behind your back' in city, town and village affairs is 'endemic' to the region.
The net is very powerful for we 'low budget living' people but we need to realize it will never reach the 'common mass' who are steadfast in hollow, illogical excuses about use of the net, secretly hoping it 'will go away'.
