Bigfootville?

I was watching the Travel Channel the other day and they had a two hour special about Bigfootville, OK. Yes, apparently there has been several hundreds, if not thousands, of reported sightings of some large creature in/or around Northeast Oklahoma. Has anyone else ever heard of this? Some of the sightings were from people in Tulsa (a radio personality), Clairemore, Grove, Tupelo, Eufrala, etc. I just thought it was really strange that something like this could be happening, or not happening, in Oklahoma...

As far as I know it (Bigfoot around this particular area) only became popular over the past few years... My guess would be since one of the brothers past away that confessed to creating the hoax way back in the day.

Could be true. Back in the 70's there was a movie called " The Boggy Creek Monster", or "Legend Of Boggy Creek". It was based on the legend of a bigfoot type creature around Fouk, Arkansas.

and folks swear the Jersey Devil is still roaming the pine barrens of southern New Jersey.
